Davis Design, in partnership with Benesch, provided architectural, structural, MEP, interior design, and construction administration services for the Central Nebraska Regional Airport Snow Removal Equipment (SRE) Facility. The new facility includes seven equipment storage bays, a wash bay, maintenance bay, materials storage, utility extensions, apron tie-ins, and backup power systems to support critical airfield operations and emergency preparedness.

Designed to improve the airport’s year-round operational readiness, the facility serves as a centralized hub for the storage, maintenance, and deployment of snow removal equipment. The space streamlines operations, improves workflow for airport personnel, and provides protected storage and maintenance areas that help extend equipment life and improve fleet reliability.

The project enhances the airport’s infrastructure by strengthening its ability to maintain safe and efficient airfield conditions during winter weather events. By supporting rapid snow and ice removal operations, the facility helps minimize disruptions, improve maintenance efficiency, and ensure reliable airfield access for passengers, airlines, airport staff, and emergency services.
