Before 2022, the Nebraska Army National Guard’s 1075th Transportation Company, originally stationed in a 1955 facility, outgrew its space as it transitioned into a transportation-focused unit. Seeking a solution, Davis Design collaborated with the Guard to craft a new 24,000-square-foot facility.
This one-story structure, set on a 40-acre site, features insulated precast exteriors and interior elements, with a metal panel roof around a sturdy metal building frame. Designed to accommodate National Guard vehicles, including tractor-trailers, it boasts four vehicle maintenance bays, two warm-up bays, and a 24-hour accessible heated wash bay, supplying essential fluids and air during maintenance.
Supporting over 60 trucks, 120 trailers, and multiple cargo vehicles, the facility integrates administrative spaces like offices, classrooms, a fitness room, and various storage areas to aid vehicle maintenance workers. Beyond vehicle repair, it stands ready to assist in state functions like disaster relief and civil disturbance support, reaffirming its multifaceted role in serving the community.
