Davis Design’s Norfolk office partnered with Christ Lutheran School to replace their original 1924 building with a 26,432-square-foot activities addition. This new facility includes a gymnasium, band room, and cafeteria/fellowship hall, serving both school and church events. Other areas include a welcoming front entrance, administration offices, and a youth room with a storm shelter. The versatile spaces ensure the building remains a hub for social, recreational and educational activities.

The interior design team created a lively learning and community space using signature yellow with accents of orange and blue. Flooring patterns of large rubber tiles, sound control elements like floating ceiling clouds, and visually engaging corridors with yellow acoustical tiles and ceiling baffles enhance the space. The gym prominently displays the Christ Lutheran Tigers logo, with branded graphics on wall padding and retractable bleachers, fostering a vibrant team spirit throughout the facility.
