The vision behind the Lincoln Fire & Rescue and Lincoln Police Department joint-use station was to create a streamlined center where firefighters and police officers work together under one roof. This impressive 26,300-square-foot facility focuses on collaboration and improved service delivery to the nearby neighborhoods. By consolidating operations, first responders can share resources and work together more efficiently. The design incorporates a common entrance, exercise room, and community meeting room to foster a collaborative spirit. Other spaces include short-term evidence storage, interview rooms, report writing stations, and a briefing room.
