Gregory T. Smith, AIA, LEED®AP

Greg earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in 1979 and 1981, respectively. He is most passionate about pursuing new projects and the initial design phase, where he thrives on pushing boundaries and creating innovative solutions. He values collaboration—both within Davis Design and with clients—and finds the greatest fulfillment in turning client visions into realities. Over the years, he has learned that applying his expertise can transform projects into something even greater than imagined.

Greg’s passion for architecture began with hands-on experience in his father’s construction business, which led him to pursue architecture school. His career path was solidified during graduate studies, and working on the West Coast provided invaluable experience. Achieving licensure at Davis Design further reinforced his dedication to professionalism and design excellence. Outside of work, he enjoys golf, live music, and DIY projects, and he actively supports organizations like Mosaic and Child Legacy International in Malawi.
