Jim Luedke, PE

Associate Principal | Senior Structural Engineer

Jim Luedke is a Professional Civil Engineer with a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, where he specialized in structural engineering. After serving as a research associate engineer at the university from 1992 to 1997, Jim joined Davis Design and has been a key member of the structural team ever since.

Jim’s responsibilities include designing safe, efficient structural systems for a wide range of building types. His passion for engineering was sparked early while building and fixing things on his grandparents’ farm. That passion deepened during his university years, where he enjoyed designing, testing, and even destructively analyzing bridge and building components—an experience that cemented his path in the construction and engineering industries.

Outside the office, Jim enjoys sparring and recently earned his black belt in Taekwondo (2024). He and his family are long-time supporters of Children’s Hospital.

Favorite lunch spot: The Davis Design breakroom—with chicken nuggets and Utz cheeseballs in hand.
