Davis Design Promotes Seven

Davis Design is pleased to announce the promotion of Celeste Kovar, IIDA, NCIDQ, CHID, LEED-APChandra Wondercheck, NCIDQ, IIDA, LEED-AP; and Darin Horst, AIA, ACHA, EDAC to senior associate positions and the promotion of Brad Behne, Andy Sorensen, Chad Vogel and David Hempel, AIA to associate positions.

 

Kovar, an interior designer, joined the firm in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Design from the UNL College of Architecture.  Since joining the firm, Kovar has earned her National Council of Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) certification and has become a LEED-Accredited Professional. She is also a Certified Healthcare Interior Designer (CHID) and a professional member of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA).  Current clients include Lincoln Electric System, Oxbow Animal Health, and the Agemark and Woodbury Corporations.

Wondercheck, also an interior designer, earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from the UNL College of Architecture.  She has earned her National Council of Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) certification, is a professional member of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) and is also a LEED-Accredited Professional.  She joined Davis Design eight years ago and is currently providing interior design services for Pender Community Hospital and for multiple Bryan Health projects.

 

Horst, a licensed architect, holds Bachelor and Master of Science Degrees in Architecture from UNL and, since rejoining Davis Design in 2012, has also achieved Evidence-Based Design Accreditation and Certification (EDAC).  He has also earned membership in the American College Health Association (ACHA) and is currently providing design services for a variety of Bryan Health projects.

Behne, an architectural designer, joined our firm in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Architectural Studies from UNL and membership in the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCDIQ).  In 2016, he earned a Master of Science in Human Dimensions of Natural Resource Sciences from UNL and is currently sitting for the NCARB Architect Registration Examination. Brad is providing design services for a variety of Bryan Health projects.

Sorensen earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Design and a Master of Architecture Degree from UNL. He joined the firm in 2009 as an intern and accepted a fulltime position as an architectural designer in 2011 after graduation. He is currently providing design services Cherokee Regional Medical Center and Crawford County Memorial Hospital.

Hempel joined Davis Design in 2013.  A licensed architect, he graduated with distinction from UNL with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Architectural Studies.  He offers over twenty years of architectural design experience to his clients, which currently include Lincoln Electric System, Lincoln Public Schools, and Oxbow Animal Health.
Vogel, a construction administrator, rejoined the firm in 2015.  He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from UNL and has received certification by the American Hospital Association as a Certified Healthcare Constructor.  He provides construction oversight for all Bryan Health projects including the new ambulatory surgery center/medical office building that is currently under construction at Bryan East Medical Center.
